Huma Calin is a management consultant and a political risk analyst with extensive work experience from several international companies and institutions both in Turkey and the United Kingdom.

Huma speaks Turkish, English and French fluently. She currently lives in London and regularly visits Turkey for client projects.

Work Experience
In her capacity as Turkey and the EU expert, Huma has been giving advisory services, including political risk assessment and market entry advice, to international clients since 2010. Huma also worked as an analyst at Eurasia Group, a leading political risk consultancy, where she helped clients anticipate opportunities and risks in several countries in Europe, where they were doing business. Her advisory services covered both the market dynamics and domestic politics, which required her to engage directly (and often proactively) with policymakers and other stakeholders in the business community.

She led consulting teams for governmental assignments (including the Swedish Government) and private projects on Turkey and from time to time on neighbouring countries. During her period at the Swedish Trade and Investment Council, Huma advised more than 150 clients in various industries including energy, infrastructure, healthcare, ICT, retail, food and textiles.

Education Background
Huma holds a double major degree in management and political science and international relations from Boğaziçi University and a master’s degree in European Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Awarded with the European Union’s Jean Monnet Scholarship, Huma studied the global financial crisis of 2007 extensively and wrote her thesis on the European Central Bank’s and the Federal Reserve’s responses to the crisis.
